Yvonne Kam Hwei Syn is currently a Doctoral Researcher in the University of Plymouth, UK. Her research topic is in Cybersecurity of Offshore Wind. Her PhD work has been presented at the Maritime Risk Symposium (MRS) 2023. Furthermore, she is a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP). In 2023, she became a research assistant at The Alan Turing Institute. She holds a Masters in Engineering Science (MEngSc), and a first-class Bachelor of Engineering (Hons) degree in Electronics Engineering. Additionally, she is a lecturer and researcher (currently on study leave) at the Faculty of Engineering at Multimedia University, Malaysia. She has served as Principal Investigator (PI) for two Malaysian national grants on projects related to authentication.
